Alaska Summer Cruises

For the past ten years, Kathy Slamp has served as an onboard cruise ship Alaska naturalist sharing her Alaska adventures and travel. In this capacity, she speaks to thousands each summer from every state in the union and nearly every country in the world; to many, she becomes "the voice of the bridge."

In 2008 Kathy served on the Sapphire Princess: this itinerary sailed one week north from Vancouver, BC and one week south from Whittier, AK. In 2009 she served 16 consecutive weeks on the Star Princess in and out of Seattle on the Southeast Alaska loop.

Summer 2010 Itinerary

(Coral, Sapphire, & Island Princess ships)

May 22 through June 12: For the 2010 season, Princess has a brilliant new itinerary. Both north and south cruises will visit Glacier Bay; but on the northbound, we will also visit College Fjord, while the southbound will visit Hubbard Glacier. Kathy will be the naturalist on the Coral Princess for three cruises. The May 22 cruise sails south from Whittier, followed by one north and one south cruise.

June 13 through July 18: Kathy will be the naturalist on the Southeast Alaska loop out of Seattle on the Sapphire Princess. The highlight of this specific cruise is a visit either to Tracy Arm and Sawyer Glacier or Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier; each are equally breath-taking. Our giant ship will wind its way through a narrow passage of ice and snow and newborn rock.

July 19 through Sept. 20: Kathy will transship to the Island Princess for eight cruises on the alternate north and south runs outlined above.

Kathy loves to meet with each of you on these cruises! If you would like Alaska Travel DVDs and books, hers are some of the best. If you care to blog with Kathy regarding your upcoming cruise, she`d be delighted for you to visit Kathy`s Alaska Blog.
